As this year comes to an end, I’ve been reflecting on the moments that shaped me — the challenging ones that tested my patience, the gentle ones that softened my heart, and the hopeful ones that reminded me how much strength can grow from the smallest steps. Living with arthritis has its difficult days, but it has also taught me to appreciate every bit of progress, every breath of relief, and every moment of connection.
There were mornings when the pain made everything feel heavy, yet even on those days, I found reasons to keep moving. I learned that I didn’t need to take on the whole day at once — just the next few minutes. And those minutes, taken with patience and kindness, carried me further than I expected.
Balancing arthritis with family responsibilities, unwarranted business stress and the pressures of daily life has shaped me in ways I never imagined. It taught me to slow down, to listen to my body, and to celebrate the victories that others might overlook. Strength isn’t always loud — sometimes it’s quiet, steady, and deeply personal.
A Moment of Grace: My Remission
One of the most meaningful parts of my year was experiencing a period of remission — something that felt almost impossible given everything my body had been carrying. It arrived at a time when the odds felt stacked against me, and yet, with the grace of the Almighty, my body found space to breathe again.
That remission wasn’t just a physical relief. It was a reminder of hope, of resilience, and of the quiet blessings that unfold when we least expect them. It renewed my motivation, strengthened my faith, and reminded me that healing can arrive in ways we don’t always see coming.
The Community That Lit Up My Year
One of the brightest parts of my journey has been the Arthritis Support Group. Watching this community grow — seeing people uplift one another, share openly, and show up with courage — has been a constant source of inspiration. It reminds me that healing is not something we do alone. We heal in community, in kindness, and in shared understanding.
A Hopeful Wish for the New Year
So, to all you heroes out there, I hope you take a moment for your own year-end reflections. You’ve carried so much with courage, and you deserve to see just how far you’ve come.
Here’s to a new year filled with gentleness, hope, and moments of comfort — for me, and for anyone walking a similar path
Gratitude and Resilience
I thank the Almighty for giving me strength, and I’m grateful to my family, friends and doctors for being there for me.
As we step into a new year, may it bring you: more ease, more light, more hope, and more moments that feel like sunrise.
Every sunrise is a reminder that no matter how heavy yesterday felt, light always finds its way back to you
Together we heal. Together we rise. Together, we are resilient.
With warmth, Sanria
