The heart behind The Resilient Soul

A journey of courage, rediscovery, and purpose.

I’m Sanria, an arthritis warrior, mental health and wellbeing advocate, and the founder of The Resilient Soul.

My journey with arthritis began 23 years ago, long before I had the words, knowledge, or courage to explain what I was going through.

Where the story began

What I didn’t know was that this journey would awaken something powerful within me.

A strength to fight A strength to rise A strength to help others rise
01

A defining decision

The life I walked away from

Before arthritis changed my path, I built a career I was deeply proud of. I thrived as a Senior HR Professional, supporting people, guiding teams, and creating empowerment in workplaces. HR wasn’t just my job. It was where I felt purpose, connection, and impact.

As my condition became harder to manage, I faced one of the most defining decisions of my life: stepping away from the career I loved.

Many people saw it as a resignation. For me, it was an act of courage.
02

A voice I thought I had lost

RA Positive

In the middle of this transition, I created a website called RA Positive, a small corner of the internet where I spoke from my heart. It became a home for my thoughts, fears, strength, and honesty about living with rheumatoid arthritis.

The domain eventually expired, taking years of my voice and the connection I had built with it. Losing RA Positive felt like losing a part of myself I could never get back.

03

The courage to begin again

A birthday gift that changed everything

This year, I gave myself a birthday gift: the gift of courage. The courage to rebuild, to start again, and to reclaim the voice I thought I had lost.

That moment became The Resilient Soul, a space born from everything I have lived, learned, and carried in my heart.

04

Where purpose found its name

From lived experience to advocacy

For more than 15 years, I have volunteered with the Middle East Arthritis Foundation, supporting patients, organising events, guiding families, and showing up for people who needed someone who understood.

I became an advocate not out of obligation, but out of connection. Every story shared, every patient I met, and every hand I held reminded me of something important.

We are stronger together than we ever are alone.

Why this space exists

Not just facts. Not just symptoms. Real experiences, emotions, and life.

Through all these years, I realised something was missing for so many of us: a gentle, safe space that acknowledged what arthritis feels like beyond the medical terms.

The Resilient Soul is built on the belief that our stories matter, our feelings deserve a place, and our journeys can inspire strength in others.

What I carry forward

Arthritis is part of my story, but it is not the end of it.

I may have stepped away from a career, but I found a purpose rooted in connection, compassion, and community. This journey taught me patience, balance, and the strength of self-care.

Through The Resilient Soul, I hope my journey becomes a light for others who are finding their own strength, in their own time, and in their own way.

Together we heal. Together, we rise. Together, we are resilient.

With warmth, Sanria
